We live in a world full of division, from the level of global conflict right down to our own relationships. We live with the everyday realities of hope and pain, celebration and lament, peace and conflict. Difference is a course designed to help you navigate these realities, inspiring your walk with Jesus.
The 5-session course equips you to cross divides, navigate disagreement and pursue a just and flourishing world. Hundreds of people from across the world have signed up to run Difference in their church, community, university, local prison or elsewhere, and here are just a few reasons why you should join them…
- It’s a great first step
We don’t need to look far to see injustice, broken relationships, or conflict. But in this divided and fractured world, it can be hard to know where to begin.
Difference creates space to consider the issues that are most important for you and your wider community and to find meaningful ways forward. It does this through learning about the encounters Jesus had, exploring your own story and relationships and reflecting on experiences in your group.

We know it’s not always easy to find high quality guides and resources, especially on a budget. That’s why we created the Difference Training and Resource Hub, where you can download everything for free! It has all the info and advice you need in short, easy to understand videos. You’ll also find all the guides and resources you need to run Difference online or in-person.

Lasting change happens when we allow God to shape who we are and the values we live by.
In each session we apply 3 habits that help us transform our relationships, which is the first step to transforming our world. Being curious about how others see the world, being present in our encounters others and inviting God to help us reimagine a future with hope and opportunity.
Long after the course finishes the 3 habits will help you navigate conflict and division in the world.

Difference is used in many contexts and designed for both large and small groups.
You can run it with a small group of friends, as part of your church’s activities or with groups in the community. It’s really flexible, so why not gather people together and get started?
